About Dr. V Lynette McElhaney
Dr. V. Lynette McElhaney — also known as Coach V — is a nationally recognized leadership transformation expert with over 20 years of experience guiding mission-driven leaders through complexity, crisis, and change. As the founder of Legacies Leadership Group and former Oakland City Council President, she brings a rare combination of public sector leadership, trauma-informed insight, and executive coaching mastery.
With certifications from Maxwell Leadership, Martinelli, and Cialdini, Dr. McElhaney blends evidence-based methodologies with lived experience to help CEOs, senior executives, and mission-driven organizations scale impact, increase revenue, and lead with authenticity. Her approach is deeply rooted in purpose, shaped by resilience, and focused on building legacies that last.
